Cupcake Pop Art Painting Tutorial
Ready to paint a series of cupcakes that are pink and sweet and totally cute? This tutorial makes it easy!
This series of cupcake paintings can be done in a set of 3 or 4 to make a triptych or a grid like a pop artist. It's reminiscent of the Andy Warhol paintings that repeat and is simple enough for beginners.
What you need for this Cupcake Pop Art Painting Tutorial:
Acrylic Paint in Red, White, Pink (plus other colors like yellow, blue, etc)
Acrylic Paint Brushes
Square Canvas (we used 6x6)
Painter's Palette
As an Added Bonus Add Faux Sprinkles or Glitter!
Then follow this tutorial to see how to sketch the shapes and blend your colors.

    I like Wrist malas (bracelets) and your's contains 21 beads plus a "Guru" bead which is correct, I don't understand why your written instructions say "thread your 54 beads" where did 54 come frkm???

    • @PopshopamericaForever
      @PopshopamericaForever 2 місяці тому

      108 is the length of a traditional mala. The number has a special meaning. 54 is half of that, thus is commonly used in traditional mala making. For most normal sized adults, if using a 4-8mm bead size (which is the most common size) 21 beads will fit around the wrist comfortably. So if you are making a mala bracelet for style and not using it with your meditation practice, try using around 21 beads.

    You said rip stop nylon is good. But what are you using? Is it broadcloth?

    • @PopshopamericaForever
      @PopshopamericaForever 5 місяців тому

      Great question! You can use most fabrics. But if you want your kite to fly, the best fabrics are lightweight and don't allow much air to pass through. Thus, rip stop nylon is great. This is why you also see kites made out of tissue paper or even trash bags! I am using standard cotton fabric. It's heavier than nylon so it requires a windier day and a more ideal environment. But it does make for a gorgeous kite that's prettier and also makes a great room decoration!

    I've been etching with Armour Etch for 25 yrs. LOVE IT. I put a good even heavy coat on, wait a few minutes and wash off with warm/ hot water then clean as usually. I've left it on a few minutes to an hour. NO difference in shade. I always lay my glasses down to help make sure no shadow.

    I saw your liquid sculpey stir short, are we supposed to stir it every time we open the bottle, or just the first 1 time when we open a new bottle? I see to stir it in the directions on the bottle, but i don't know if they mean every literal time we go to get product out like they say to do with the sculpey clear, but i'm using the translucent one.

    • @PopshopamericaForever
      @PopshopamericaForever 11 місяців тому

      It's not just that you have to stir it. You have to stir it sooooooooo thoroughly. Much longer than seems reasonable! And be sure to scrape the sides and the bottom. It won't be an issue when you first open the bottle. But it will be an issue as you continue to use the bottle and get down to the end of the bottle. It's also an issue with clear. Clear will run if you don't stir it thoroughly.

    • @PopshopamericaForever
      @PopshopamericaForever Рік тому

      5 paints, 1 gesso, 1 drywall mud - It's actually 7 supplies total! Gesso takes 20 minutes to 1 hour to dry. It depends on your climate.

      My best guess is to stir it for about a billion years. Probably longer than what you are stirring. Use a thick wooden dowel rod that can reach all the way to the bottom and scrape the sides and the bottom for at least a few minutes before you use it.

    I've been etching for a few years now and I predominantly use Armour Etch. However, I find that it has A LOT of crystals in the cream and if left on the glass, it will not etch the glass. When time permits, I will strain the cream to remove the crystals. Very messy! I have seen the Folk Art etching cream and Etchall, so I am not excited to try them after watching this video. I have a big job coming my way and I'm tired of the hit or miss with Armour Etch. Thank you for your demo!

    • @jessicawooding5442
      @jessicawooding5442 Рік тому

      @sandraoguynn the crystals form when the etcher gets cold. Etching cream is also known as honey cream because just like honey, when you heat it up, the crystals dissolve. Put a bottle in a warm bath for a few hours. I start with tap water as hot as it will go and fill a pot so that the bottles are half to 3/4 submerged in water. I put it on my stove. Every half hour I turn the burner on LO to rewarm the water for about 10 minutes and then shut the stove off again. DO NOT let the water boil. You just want really warm water that doesn't burn you. Shake the bottle every 30 minutes. I find it takes about 3 hrs for 10oz and 5 to 6 hrs with a 22oz bottle to get rid of the crystals. Shake or stir twice an hour until it's nice and smooth. This method also works for etcher that's hardened in the bottle to loosen it up. Also, if the etcher is beige or brown, it's because it got too hot (usually during shipping). It doesn't affect how the etcher works:)

    Hi. Do you find the glue holds the two sides of beads together well? I’ve made a couple of malas and tied them at the end the same way but a bit of a pull and they come apart
